Kinder, safer and more inclusive than mainstream dating websites
We welcome diversity, disability and people who just want friendships
MyKind provides the tools for the journey from chatting, blogging and friendships, to giving virtual gifts, winks, match-making and dating.
It was researched and designed by Kiwis with disabilities and people working in not-for-profit organisations in the disability sector.
Imagine a social space for diverse adults aged 18+, with or without disabilities/health impairments, where people looking for anything from just friends to a serious romance can feel confident and safe.
We’ll even provide personal match-making support – for friendships or dates!
We envisage MyKind members will be non-judgmental so everyone feels comfortable, safe, and truly accepted as the people they are.
All this makes MyKind unique – a hybrid site that is neither chat or dating, mainstream or disabled. It’s whatever you want it to be on the social spectrum.
Our other main point of difference is that membership fees (when we start charging) will not go overseas to people who just want to make money. We’ll give them back to New Zealand’s disability sector through our grants/donation/sponsorship programme.
All relationships flourish in an inclusive environment.
